Our first movie is “Home Sweet Home Alone” which is available to watch on Disney Plus starting November 12. This latest installment of the franchise is about a youngster who is left home alone around Christmas time and must safeguard his home. Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit) plays the youngster this time, who is named Max, and the film also stars Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, and Kenan Thompson. Max Mercer is a clever and smart young child who has been left by his family while they are on vacation in Japan. When a married couple wanting to recover a precious artifact sets their sights on the Mercer familys house, it is up to Max to keep them out and hell go to any extreme to do so. Despite the commotion, Max learns that there is no place like home.

While the Christmas season emphasizes togetherness, there are moments when you simply want to curl up on your sofa alone with a blanket sipping hot chocolate. There are a lot of new Christmas movies coming out this year. Whether you’re a Lifetime fan or have fallen completely enamored with Netflix’s Christmas Cinematic Universe, you’ll have enough to pick from. Here are a few suggestions from the newsroom:

Vanessa Hudgens reprises her roles in “The Princess Switch Switched Again” and will reprise all three of her roles. This time, the Hudgens royals must work together to recover a stolen item. Mike Rohl directed “The Princess Switch,” a 2018 American Christmas romance comedy movie, based on a story by Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger. The concept for the film originates from Mark Twain's 1881 novel “The Prince and the Pauper,” in which two people who seem similar collide and trade places. Stacy encounters a similar stranger with a bizarre request while preparing for the Royal Christmas Baking Contest. Duchess Margaret Delacourt, free-spirited but royally obligated, only wants one more chance to live life as a "regular person" before marrying the Crown Prince of Belgravia. The film is available to watch on Netflix starting November 19.
