What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

To always cherish your loved ones and take life one day at a time.

What was the moment that you decided to teach?

The moment I realized I wanted to pursue a teaching career was when I got involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters during my high school years here at Godinez. I discovered my passion for art and mentoring the youth.

What is the main goal you have for your students and how will you try and accomplish them?

I want to help students discover their potential through the arts and help them find their voice by creating a space where they feel comfortable to do so. Collaborating and inquiring with my students will give me the opportunity to learn from them and improve my practice.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I like gardening and creating art.
