Since the closure of school a year ago, sports have been cancelled and many students weren’t able to practice their sport.

Sports finally got the go signal to start practicing mid-March on campus under certain restrictions. As of now, we have girls/boys soccer, girls/boys basketball, girls/boys cross country and track , baseball, and softball. With only the varsity level competing during this time.

With sports upcoming seasons there are certain restrictions that we must follow since Santa Ana moved into the “red tier.” Restrictions include allowing a limited number of spectators at outdoor home athletic events and outdoor SAUSD athletic venues. Each athlete is only allowed to invite two spectators per competition.

More information regarding games can be found on Godinez’s athletic website.
