Dear Gummy Bear,

How do you survive senior year?

Sincerely, Anonymous

Dear Anonymous,

You’re probably coming into your senior year, with a lot of worry trailing alongside you. Senior year is stressful, but a few things we can do to survive are think positive and try not to procrastinate as much on homework or any other responsibilities. This is your first step into adulthood, but it’s not the determinant of the rest of your life. I’m not going to lie, things are going to get pretty difficult at times, and that’s just a fact of life, but you already made it this far, don’t give up now!

Dear Gummy Bear,

How can I solve Twitter beef? Should I fight, tweet back, or cry?

Sincerely,

Anonymous

Dear Anonymous,

Fight, definitely. Kidding, don’t do that. What you can do, however, is turn away from the screen and be the bigger person. Showing any reaction would make the aggressor feel like they won. If the “beef” continues, and gradually gets more serious, keep screenshots for evidence, and consider telling an adult. I know it’s hard to advise anyone of the situation, but it may become necessary if they consistently bother you. Overall, though, remember it’s just a person behind a screen, you can always shut off the computer or block them. Stay rad, don’t let it get to you too much. After all, “haters gonna hate,” right?

Dear Gummy Bear,

How do you nicely reject someone?

From,

Anonymous

Oh, no. This is always one of the hardest tasks to do. First off, think about what you’re going to say while considering their emotions, and be sympathetic. Refrain from making the person you’re “rejecting” from feeling even worse by referring to them as “brother/sister.” Instead, use the cliche “it’s not you, it’s me” or be brave and be honest by explaining how you feel about the situation. Also, keep in mind the timing of the rejection. If it’s around their birthday or a big test, maybe hold it off for a day. However, don’t procrastinate on it either and make sure you do it in person, it’s the humane thing to do. Good luck!
