Super Bowl LIV had Many on the Edge of their Couches

Sunday afternoon, at 3 p.m. the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs went for it all and battled it to see who would win the 54th Super Bowl

With clear skies and 52 degree weather in South Florida, the Kansas City Chiefs came back from behind by 10 points against the 49ers in the Super Bowl LIV to win by a final score 31-20.

Super Bowl LIV, was an intense football game. The winning teams that played were the champions of the NFC, San Francisco 49ers and the champions of the AFC, Kansas City Chiefs. This year the Super Bowl took place in Miami, on February 2, 2020. 

The first two quarters were tied with both scoring touchdowns. By halftime the score was 10-10. Both teams were anxious and wanted take home the trophy.

In every Super Bowl there’s always a special halftime show. This year’s performers were Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. They were said to be the best halftime performance in many years with 102 million people watching from home.

Shakira started off the Super Bowl with her incredible and unbelievable dance moves and then Jennifer Lopez came out with her singing and pole talent. It was an unbelievable experience to watch such a great performance by two Latina entertainers. J-Lo even included her daughter, Emme, and sang a song with her.

This year’s halftime performance has been the most watched after the game. Currently there are 120 million views of the performance on YouTube. 

After the halftime show, the 49ers rallied in the third quarter for a lead of 20-10 with a touchdown by Raheem Mostert.

But by the fourth quarter, Kansas City scored three more touchdowns and the 49ers couldn’t catch up.

The Chief’s Patrick Mahomes became the youngest quarterback to win MVP in the Super Bowl. Mahomes made a big play to Tyreek Hill which was the downfall for the 49ers, because with that play the Chiefs got a touchdown and were able to bring it back for the win. Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes were the best duo, Hill being the wide receiver and catching Mahomes perfect throws. Gaining points to take leads and win the game.

With a final score 31-20, Kansas City won the Tiffany Super Bowl trophy and made it a very memorable game.
